Lori Cipollone, Office Manager

On a summer day, you might find Lori in her kayak, going crabbing the old-fashioned way – with a string and a chicken wing, not a crab trap!

Lori loves the outdoors. The oldest of three children, she was born and raised in Northford, Connecticut. Lori grew up hiking the mountain across the street from her house and following the trails that have been there for hundreds of years as well as exploring old shacks and waterfalls.

Lori Cipollone graduated from Post College and worked as a legal secretary in New Haven for 28 years. She spent another five years working for family law Attorney Lisa J. Cappalli, who is now an attorney here at Freed Marcroft. Lori was a volleyball player in high school and college and was on the All New England team in college as well as a volleyball coach at St. Margaret McTernan School.

To Lori, the best part of working in marital and family law is helping people get through one of the most difficult times in their lives, and seeing them transform into happier, more confident versions of themselves. When a new client comes through the door, Lori is the first to greet them. Often people come in scared, unsure of their future, experiencing many different emotions. By the time our clients have completed their time with us, they often leave a different person than who they entered as. Our clients find themselves looking forward to what lies ahead, thanks to their legal team’s help. They feel relieved, happy and thankful. “To see the transition in the end, and know that they’re going to make it, when at times they thought they couldn’t, is the best part of my job.”

In her role as Billing Specialist, clients can count on Lori for accuracy and reliability in handling their retainer accounts as well as promptly resolving any questions or concerns they may have. Lori loves working in the Cheshire office, and being a part of the growing Freed Marcroft family.

Lori lives in Cheshire with her husband and daughter, and their pets, rescue dogs Jojo and Stefi and rescue cat Riley.  Lori and her husband enjoy building Adirondack chairs and other furniture out of reclaimed wood.
